Mrs. Anna Katherine Breuer nee Schroeder of Sheridan township died at her home Saturday October 5th of dropsy and heart trouble after a sickness of more than seven weeks. She was born near Cadenbirge Hannover Germany on the 24th day of March 1851. In 1872 she came to the US and made her home is Allegheny City PA where in 1875 Mar 31st she married to John August Breuer. They came to Sioux County in the spring of 1877 and made their home in Sheridan township. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Breuer, two of whom are living to mourn the loss of a mother. The funeral services were held Monday October 17ty and were conducted by Rev. Paul J. Bunge of the St. Paul’s evangelical Lutheran church. Mrs. Breuer was an active member of this church, she was a lover of God’s house and God’s words a founder and pillar of the church. Deceased is survived by her husband and two children, J. Henry Breuer and Paul F. Breuer both residing in Hull vicinity. Rev Aug Schult of Stanton ND , Rev W. Baetke of Boyden, Rev. J. Krumstroh and many other friends from Boyden, Hull Sheldon, George and other towns attended the funeral. The remains were laid to rest in St. Paul’s cemetery in Lincoln township.
