A very sudden death.
George H. Gable of Council Bluffs, district deputy for the Woodman of the World, died about eight o’clock Tuesday morning in the toilet room at Earle’s boarding house from the bursting of a blood vessel of the heart. Had been up and around that morning and then went to the toilet room where the attack of heart failure came on. He called to Mr. Earle who came to his assistance and attempted to restore him with cold water but he passed away before medical assistance could be summoned.

He came here about three weeks ago in the capacity of district deputy for the W. O. W. and did good work as an organizer, adding a number of new members to the order. He was in poor health when he came here and had been ailing for some time from the effects of a fall he received in Sioux Falls several months ago. A brother of the deceased was notified at Wagner SD and came Tuesday evening to take charge of the remain. The deceased was taken to Denison, IA the old boyhood home by his brother, L. M. Gable Yesterday morning where interment will take place.

The deceased was 45 years old and leaves a son about seven years old. He was a successful attorney in Council Bluffs for about fifteen years, but failing health caused him to give up this practice and for several years he has turned his attention to other pursuits. The fraternal order of the Woodman of the World took charge of the body here and rendered the bereaved brother all possible assistance during his stay in the city.
