Mrs. Debora Kroll, age 63, of Orange City, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at the MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center in Sioux City.

A visitation with the family present will be held on Friday, August 11, from 10:00am to 11:00am, at the First Reformed Church in Orange City. There will be a funeral service on Friday, at 11:00am, at the church with the Rev. Mark Haverdink officiating. Interment will follow the service at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. The Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City is in charge of arrangements.

Debora Ann was born on July 21, 1960, in Sioux City, the third of seven children born to Arthur and Helen Marie (Wickey) McFarland. She was raised in the Sioux City area, where she attended school.

On May 13, 1983, she was united in marriage to Michael Duane Kroll in Sioux City. Together they made their home in numerous communities until 1991, when Deb settled in Chatsworth. In 2016, she relocated to Orange City. Michael passed away on March 31, 2020. In February of 2023, Deb moved to the Alcester Village Apartments in Alcester, South Dakota.

Debora regularly attended the First Reformed Church in Orange City, where she volunteered whenever she could. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to coffee hour and looked forward to spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her three children, James Kroll, and his wife, Rachel, of Beresford, South Dakota; Ruth Kroll, and her fiancé, David Kalafut, of Perry; and Helen Kroll, of Alcester; seven grandchildren, Gavin, Mason, Adrianne, Kinlee, Casper, Haylee, and Rylee; two bonus grandchildren, Savannah and Matthew; her mother and step-father, Helen and Don Fredrickson, of Sioux City; six siblings, Theresa McFarland; Rick McFarland; Janet, and her husband, Rick Hoffman; Brenda, and her husband, Jim Mathieson; Gloria Nilles; and Randy McFarland, and his wife, Christina; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and former husband.

Memorials will be given to the family for future designation.
