Mildred Kluver, 92, of rural Ireton, Iowa passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Christ Lutheran Church – Grant Township, rural Le Mars, Iowa. Reverend Shawn Brooks will officiate. Private family burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. There will be a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mildred Lena Reichel was born May 3, 1929 in Hawarden, Iowa, the daughter of George and Anna (Suhren) Reichel. She was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church – Grant Township. She attended country school in Plymouth County and later high school in Le Mars. She graduated from Le Mars Central High School in 1947. She attended Western Union College in Le Mars where she received her teacher’s certificate. She taught country school in Plymouth County for a few years.

She was united in marriage to Clarence Kluver on February 16, 1950 at Christ Lutheran Church – Grant Township. The couple farmed near Craig, Iowa for many years. Clarence passed away on June 3, 1997 in Le Mars. Mildred continued to make her home on farm.

Mildred was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church where she was active in the ladies’ aide for many years. She enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden and reading books, magazines, and newspapers. She also enjoyed taking fishing trips with her family and doing word search puzzles.

Survivors include her son, Larry Kluver of Ireton, IA; a daughter in law, Christine Kluver of Le Mars, IA; 3 grandchildren: Jessica (Adam) Krupicka of Nevada, IA, Scott (Michelle) Kluver of Le Mars, IA, and Curtis Kluver (fiancé, Jessica Smallfield); 5 great grandchildren: Callie, Jayden, Aubree, Miles, and Jackson; a special cousin, Sharleen Orazi of Scottsdale, AZ; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Anna Reichel; her husband, Clarence Kluver; and her son, Arlan Kluver.
