Day, E. R. lost two small children
as noted in the East Orange paper of Aug 21, 1878

1880 census had E. R. Day age 33 born in Wisconsin living in Reading Tsp Sioux County and wife Agatha age 28, son Jasper age 8, and Eva 4 mo.

Ancestry Find a Grave has Edwin R. Day born 2 Jul 1847 York Green Co. Wisconsin, died 10 mar 1921 buried in Ireton IA, wife Adelia, mother Mary Rebecca Day. Children James Garfield Day, Flora Adella Bushby, Delbert Edwin Day, Eva M. Day, Daisy King, George Marion Day Jasper Walter Day, Robert Peebles Day and Ross B. Day. The Gap between Jasper born 1872 and Eva born 1880 is where they lost the two children.
