Een Kindje van Mr. L Lens overleed deze week aan longontsteking. Daar er volstrekt ggen portret van’t kind gemaakt was, hebben de ouders door den photograaf Bulens het lijke laten photografeeren. ‘t Werd uitnemend gedaan en’t potret was niet van den van een leven kind te onder schieden

A Child of Mr. L Lens died of pneumonia this week. Since a no portrait of the child had been made, the parents had the corpse photographed by the photographer Bulens. It was done excellently, and the photo was not of the life of a child to be submissive.

Found a child, Charley Lewis Lens born 9 Dec 1898 Rock Tsp, Sioux County, to Charley ‘Luie’ Lens and Johanna Marea Kerkvliet.

In a family report in ancestry.com (by others) Charley Luie Lens and Johanna Kerkvliet did not list this child. They were married 1897. Children listed started in 1900, Clara 1900, Frank 1902, Cora 1905, Dina 1907, Charles 1908, Alfonse 1909, Maria 1911, and Agnes 1915. The family moved to Lyon County MN.
