Bij Wm. Koster, west of Sioux Center, is een kind gestorven; ‘t was een maand oud. Maandag had de begrafenis plaats, onder leiding van Ds. Smitter.
Translated: By Wm. Koster west of Sioux Center a month old child died, the funeral was at that place lead by Ds. Smitter.

Probably Willem or William Koster’s’ baby, due to the number of Kosters families in the area the parents of this baby was not readily determined.
