B. Van Mispelaar died Sunday at a Sioux City hospital after an operation for obstruction of the bowels. He was born October 26, 1853 at Newkirk, Gelderland, The Netherlands and on June 13, 1883 was united in marriage to Miss Alida Bollens at LeMars, who survives him. They moved onto a farm near Hospers 34 years ago and two years ago retired from farming and made their home in Hospers. The funeral was held Wednesday, October 25th, from St. Anthony's Catholic church. Rev. Father Dries officiating. Five daughters survive and were present at the funeral. The are Miss Adriana Mispelaar, Mrs. Henry Heying of Fargo, N.D., Mrs. Henry Hess, Hospers, Mrs. M.P. Krier, Emery, S.D., and Miss Brunetta Mispelaar of Hospers. Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mrs. T. Hurdemann and daughter, Miss Margaret of Dell Rapids, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. N.J. Krier of Alton and Matt Krier of Emory, S.D.
