G. Kastein en gade verloren in den nacht van Woensdag op donderdag der vorige week hun jongste kind, een aanvallig meisje van omstreeks vier maanden. Mrs. Kastein zelf is iets beter maar hard gant het nog niet vooruit.

Translated:
In the night from Wednesday to Thursday of the previous week, G. Kastein and wife lost their youngest child, and attractive girl of about four months. Mrs. Kastein is slightly better but is not progressin fast yet.

Most probably the dau of Gerhard Kastein as in the report on ancestry.com there is a gap in children born from 1886-1890. Gerhard Kastein was bon 29 Mar 1855 Gendringen Gelderland Netherlands died 13 Dec 1918 Sioux Center IA. His wife was Everdena Johanna Heusinkveld 1856-1933 the children listed were Everdina 1884-1962, Willem 1886-1954, Wesselina 1890-1975, Henry 1892-1960 and anna 1897-1984.
