Winnie E. Kamminga, age 95, of Crescent, Iowa, was welcomed into her Saviors arms on February 15, 2021.

Winnie was born October 25, 1925 in Sioux Center, Iowa to the late Garrit and Hattie (Vanderpol) Burgers. She married Arnold Kamminga on December 1, 1947 in Dakota City, Nebraska. They were blessed with five daughters, Judy, Harriet, Wilda, Beth and Janet. Winnie was a farm wife and a member of Woodland Community Bible Church.

In addition to her parents, Winnie was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Kamminga in 1986; brothers, Henry and Anthony Burgers.

Winnie is survived by her daughters, Judy (Harvey) Ferris of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Harriet (Brad) Ferris of Shelby, Iowa, Wilda McDanel of Denison, Iowa, Beth (Randy) Denton, Janet (Doug) Davis all of Crescent, Iowa; 7 grandsons, 8 great-grandchildren; special pet dog, “Mattie”, many nieces and nephews.

Private family visitation and funeral will be held on Friday at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel with interment following in Hazel Dell Cemetery. A public memorial service will be held at Woodland Community Bible Church at a later date.
