Mrs. R. G. Lubbers, nee Minnie Wolcott, was born at Muskegon, Nov. 3, 1858 and died at Boyden, Iowa, May 12, 1909, aged 50 years, 6 months and 9 days. She was married to R. G. Lubbers in September 1879, and in 1885 the family moved to Kansas where they lived until 1891 when they moved to Iowa and lived on a farm until 1894 when the family moved to Boyden and the husband and father went into the Hardware business at which he still continues. Here they raised their family and have taken an active interest in the business and social- affairs of the town and created many warm friendships among our people. Four children were born to this union, one son, George, died eight years ago on the same date, May 12th. She leaves a husband and three children, Ellen W., Mary and Roy.
