Vander Schaaf, Jennie nee Van Zyl Mrs. Douwe J. (former Mrs. Henry Vant Hof) born 1 Sep 1864 Iowa died 17 Mar 1926 buried in Hope Cemetery Hull IA. An obit was not readily found.

In the 1900 census Jennie Van’t Hof was age 35 born Sep 1864 Capel, Sioux Iowa married to Henry Vant Hof in 1894, He was born Nov 1864 in the Netherlands. They had children Artie age 4 and Katie age 1.

The Boyden Report of Feb 24, 1906 reported a son born to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vant Hof, joining three daughters.

Alton Democrat of Apr 25, 1908 reported the Mrs. Vant Hof returned Wednesday from Colorado where she and her husband went some months ago for the benefit of the latter’s health. Mr. Vant Hof died in the west and his wife will make her home for the present with Mr. and Mrs. J. De Haan north of town.

1910 census lists Jennie Van’t Hof 45, children Artie 13, Katie 11, Alice 7 and Bert 4.

Her second marriage was to Douwe Vander Schaaf.
