Rural Doon man dies Thursday; services set Tuesday morning Service s for Arthur Van Veldhuizen, 50, of rural Doon, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley. The Rev. William Suyker will officiate and burial will be in the Valley View cemetery.

Van Veldhuizen died Thursday at the Canton hospital after a brief illness. He was born July 31, 1926 at Rock Valley. He married Margie Hoogendoorn on February 15, 1950 at Rock Valley.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Larry of Sioux Center; two daughters, Mrs. Arlin (Sally) Post of Doon and Mrs Karlin (Carolyn) Bleeker of Sioux Center; six brothers, Peter of Canton, S. D., Jasper of Steen, Minn., John and Arie, both of Doon, Joe of Battleground, Wash, and Cornie of Inwood; two sisters, Mrs. Herman Koops of Lakewood, Calif, and Mrs. George Russ of Corsica, S. D.; and six grandchildren.
