E. Vermeer Dies, a resident of Hull for nearly seventeen years. Died at his home here Tuesday noon. He had been very sick for months and the end had been expected for some time.

Mr. Vermeer was born Jan 6, 1854 in the Netherlands where he grew to manhood and was married. His first wife died in the old country and there are still living there one so and one daughter to this first union.

On Aug 9, 1882 he was married again to Geertje Rikkers, who with their entire family came to this country seventeen years ago settling at Hull. Mrs. Vermeer died June 13, 1916. He was well known to nearly all here, having been janitor of the Christian Reformed church for many years.

Mr. Vermeer is survived by his children and twenty eight grandchildren, the children being, John, Pietje Mrs. Wm. Lockhorst, Clara Mrs. Neal Hulstein, Hattie Mrs. Wm. Vis, Case and Henry.

The exact date of the funeral has not been set, pending word from Rev. Hulssen, who is on his vacation, but will be held either Friday or Saturday afternoon.

The sincere sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved relatives.
