Ms. Geraldene Kruid, age 75, of Hawarden, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2019, at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

There will be a private graveside service on Wednesday, September 2, at the Nassau Township Cemetery near Alton. Mr. Tom Hydeen will officiate. Arrangements are with the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

Geraldene Betty was born on February 5, 1945, in Ireton, the daughter of James and Elizabeth (Boone) Kruid. She lived most of her life in Ireton and more recently in Hawarden. She loved animals and raised horses and dogs for a living.

Survivors include her six siblings, Gretta Huenink, Adrian Kruid, and his wife, Greeta, Elmer Kruid, Elaine Hofland, Esther Willis, and Geneva Jansen.
