Former Granville Resident Passes on.
Funeral services ere held in St. Joseph’s church on Thursday morning at 10 o’clock for Mrs. Margaret Winkle 69 years, who passed away in Cherokee Tuesday, Feb 11, at the home of her son Joe, after several months illness.

Margaret Leona Berg was born Feb. 23, 1877, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Berg of Granville. After her marriage to Albert winkle they resided in Alton and Granville. Mr. Winkle passed away in 1919.

For several years she made her home with her daughter an last November she went to Cherokee to reside with her son.

She is survived by one daughter Catherine Mrs. Joe Roth of Ashton, one son Joe Winkle of Cherokee, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren, two sisters. Mrs. Susan Orr of Midland SD, Miss Virginia Berg of Ashton and one brother John Berg of Seattle WA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, her parents, one sister Mary and one brother Ben.

Pallbearers were six grandsons, Lloyd Winkle, Vernon, Kenneth, Bobby and Jimmer and Francis Roth.

Relatives here for the funeral were Miss Virginia Berg, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Roth and family of Ashton, Mrs. Susan Orr, Mr. and Mrs. Addison, Mr. and Mrs. Negar, all of Midland SD, Mr. and Mrs. doe winkle, son Lloyd of Cherokee, Mr. and Mrs. Clem Hatting and children of Luverne, Minn, Vernon Roth of Sioux city, Kenneth Roth of Waterloo, Mrs. Emma Berg, Mr. and Mrs. Omar Berg, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Berg and Miss Pearl Berg all of Mason City, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Roth and Miss Gloria Jean Roth of Sheldon, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stacey of Cherokee and several relatives from Emery SD.
