The funeral of Mrs. Mina Sauer was held from St. Joseph's Catholic church Friday, June 16th, conducted by Rev. F.X. Feuerstein of LeMars.
Those present from abroad were John, Charles and Mrs. Dickerson of North Yakima, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sauer of Waterloo, Dr. and Mrs. Andrew Sauer and Dr. and Mrs. Raymond Sauer, all of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Kellen of Miranda, S.D., besides many others from neighboring towns.
Mrs. Sauer was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schneador and came to America from Germany with her parents when but three years of age. She has been a resident of Sioux county since 1891 and was 72 years, one month and five days of age at the time of her death. A member of the Rosary society Mrs. Sauer was prominent in the work of the church and closely identified with all church doings. She was married to Magnus Sauer at Freeport Ill., in the year 1862. She is survived by her children, Dr. Raymond Sauer of Chicago, Mrs. Dickerman of North Yakima, Wash; J. A. Sauer and Charles of North Yakima, Mrs. Kellen of Miranda, S.D., Albert of Waterloo, Dr. Andrew Sauer of Chicago, and Mrs. Hensing of Alton.
