Gerben van der Meer, who was strikken about 2 1/2 years ago by a stroke and has been very ill recently, died Sunday 26, 1933 at 9 :15. Especially in the last few weeks his illness, heart problems and dropsy, sometimes very painful.

Born 9 Feb 1855 in Sexbierum, The Netherlands, he joined Miss Alida Dykstra in 1882, who now survives him. They were childless. In 1896, the couple came here. After some time working in this area, he settled on a farm, and stayed there until March, when they settled in the city, and in July hum new house built. The funeral service is posed to present Wednesday at half past two at the death house with Ds. H. Colenbrander as leader.
