Arie Vander Houte 65 of Boyden passed away at his home Tuesday at about noon, after suffering a heart attack while at work on the Milwaukee Road section.

Mr. Vander Houte went to work in the morning as usual and about 10:30 complained of severe pains in his chest. He was brought to Hull by the section crew and then decided to drive home in his car.

The crew noticed the car parked on the highway which parallels the track, and upon investigation found he had parked and was lying in the grass suffering more chest pains. One of the crew then drove his car and took him to his home in Boyden. He passed away about noon, just before a physician arrived.
