Passed away Thursday at Carnes Home.
Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Vanden Berge,
Miss Evelyn Mae Vanden Berge daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Vanden Berge of the Carnes vicinity passed away at her home Thursday evening after a lingering illness. She was the second youngest daughter and at the time of her passing was 22 years 3 months and 13 days of age.

Surviving are her parents sic sisters and on brother. Funeral services were held at one o’clock at the home an at two o’clock at the American Reformed church at Orange City. Rev. Dykstra preached the funeral sermon and a mixed quartet furnished special music. Interment was made in the Alton cemetery.

Evelyn had been an invalid since her early girlhood and recently had lost her eyesight. She had every attention and care her parents could give, with the best of medical advice. Her patience and hope sustained her through her sufferings and comforted those who loved her. She had many friends and the whole community feels the deepest sympathy for the family.
