Research note: From a report on Ancestry.com (done by others) Dirk Theodore Vanden Berg was born 18 Nov. 1876 Netherlands died 1951 Sheldon IA wife was Jacoba De Bruyn 1886-1950. Children listed were Greta 1907, Cornelius 1909, Nancy 1911, Magelena 1915 and one other.

The 1925 Iowa census lists Dick Van Den Berg age 48 born Netherlands lived in Lynn Tsp Sioux County IA wife was Jacoba De Bruin, his parents were Jacob Van Den Berg and Greta Galema. Jacoba’s parents were Cornelius De Bruin and Nancy Van Kekerix. Children were Greta 18, Cornelius 16, Nancy 14, Magelena 10 and Jacob 3.
