On Wednesday afternoon, the 22nd Oct, Mrs. Gt. Van de Steeg entered the eternal at the age of more than 77 years. The deceased was born on 26 March 1836, in Eeden Gelderland, Neth., and came to America in 1857 and settled in Pella, where she married Mr. Hermanus Walraven in 1861, who was deprived of her at his death after a 20-year marriage. Later she married Mr. Gerrit. v. d. Steeg and moved here on the farm North of the city. Her first husband was also taken out of her after a 20-year anniversary. Soon after, the widow bought the property here in the city where she has lived for about 10 years. She leaves behind six children from her first marriage, John, Conraad, Gysbert and Teunis Walraven, and Mrs. H. Rouwenhorst and Mrs. A. Bursitz here.
