Christina Uit de Flesch, age 69, of Orange City died Monday, Aug. 19, 1996 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City. A memorial service was held on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the Alton Reformed Church in Alton. The Rev. Roger Voskuil officiated. Burial was held prior to the service at the Nassau Township Cemetery near Alton under the direction of the Van Etten-OolmanVan Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City.

Christina was born July 3, 1927 at Bigelow, Minn., the daughter of John and Jennie (Van der Grift) Uit de Flesch. As a young child her family came to Alton. As an adult she assisted her family and helped care for her parents. In 1992 she moved to Orange City, and in December of 1995 she became a resident of the Heritage House. She was a member of the Alton Reformed Church.

Survivors include her mother, Jennie of Hull; three brothers, Evert of Worthington, Minn., Henry of Renton, Wash., and Gerrit of Sioux City; and nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her father. Memorials are being directed to the benevolent funds of the Reformed Church and other churches.
