Died: November 3, 1896

Tuesday, November 3, 1896, at noon, Cora Covvey, second daughter of Eugene D. and Mary G. (Killian) Covvey, of Virginia Township, South Dakota, died. Cora was born April 3, 1881, and spent her life where she began it. Ambitious and earnest in all she under took, she was a joy to her family and friends. In 1894, during the Hartsough tent meetings she gave herself to her Savior, and in July following she united with the Presbyterian Church of this city.

For two years and over she was under the influence of an insidious disease (diabetes), the last acute attack of which seized upon her Monday morning and worked its course so rapidly that Tuesday noon she had passed away.

The funeral took place Wednesday at 2 o’clock, at the church of which she was a member, Reverend H. Gill, her pastor, officiating, and was attended by a very large number of friends, whose sympathy goes out warmly to the afflicted family. The remains were laid to rest in Glodstone Cemetery.
