JOHN P. BOER

Funeral services will be held at the Reformed Church at Alton at 10:30 A.M. December 28 for John P. Boer, 69, of Alton, who died at his home in Alton December 23 after a short illness.

Services will be conducted by the Reverend C. Greving and burial will be in Nassau Township Cemetery near Alton.

Mr. John Boer was born October 19, 1903 near Lebanon and married Jessie Hoekstra June 19, 1938, at Alton. He had served as a wholesale food distributor in Alton for the past 38 years and was elected to the town council last November.

Survivors include the widow; a brother, Herman, of Rock Valley; two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Effie) Smeenk of Orange City and Mrs. Hubert (Ella) Loverink of Rock Valley.

Note: John P. Boer is the son of Peter and Lizzie (Draveallie) Boer.
