Clifford “Chubb” De Mots, 64, Sioux Center, died May 3, at a Cherokee Hospital after a lengthy illness. Services were at 1:30 P.M. May 6, at Memorial Funeral Home, Sioux Center, with Reverend Wesley Kiel officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens.

Mr. De Mots was born May 15, 1909, in Sioux Center. He owned a hardware store in Le Mars for several years before retiring because of ill health about 15 years ago.

Survivors include a son, Dennis of Idaho Falls, Idaho; three daughters, Juanita, Laura and Tamara, all of Omaha; his father, Dr. Henry De Mots of Sioux Center; two sisters, Miss Verna De Mots of California and Mrs. Yvonne Halverson of Spencer and a grandchild.

Note: His mother, Alice (Vander Zee) De Mots passed away June 29, 1968. He was married to Geraldine (Haverhals) De Mots.
