Mrs. Albert Anderson passed away last Friday morning at her home, southwest of town, from septicemia, following a few days' illness. She had not been in the best of health for a week or two but her condition was not regarded as serious until shortly before passing away.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from the Ross Funeral Home with Reverend James S. Smith, pastor of the Associated Church, in charge. Interment was made in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Dorothy Christiansen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N.H. Christiansen of Watseka, Illinois, former residents of Hawarden, was born at Hardy, Iowa, July 23, 1897, and passed away April 4, 1930, at the age of 32 years, 8 months and 11 days. When a mere child she moved with her parents to the vicinity of Hudson and later she moved to Hawarden.

She was united in marriage twelve years ago with Albert Anderson, who with five children is left to mourn her sudden departure. The children are Evelyn Marie, aged 11, Lawrence Nels, aged 8, Helene May, aged 6, Donald Albert, aged 4, and Gladys May, aged 1 1/2. She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N.H. Christiansen of Watseka, Illinois; and six sisters, Mrs. Howard Searls of Akron; Mrs. John Johnson of Racine, Wisconsin; Mrs. Ludwik Peterson of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Bernard Meiers of Sioux Rapids and Mrs. Lawrence Linn and Miss Loretta Christiansen of Lowden, Iowa; and two brothers, Elmer and Harry Christiansen of Pocahontas, Iowa. Her mother and sisters and brother together with her families, attended the funeral.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved husband and small children who are left motherless at such a tender age.
