Carl Roy Anderson, 64, of Hawarden died Monday, October 10, 1988, in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Services were at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, October 15, 1988 in the Methodist Church in Hawarden with the Reverend Paul Hansen officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born September 16, 1924, in Hudson, South Dakota. He married Ione Dowell September 5, 1947, in Hawarden. He served in the United States Navy for four years during World War II. He was employed at Harkness Sand and Gravel Company, retiring in 1987.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Linda) Ageson of Lester, Merry Peterson and Betty Tieszen, both of Hawarden; three brothers, Peter of Hawarden, Frank of Sioux Falls, and Lester of Cherokee; two sisters, Esther Hamilton of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and Myrtle Harvey of Hawarden; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
