Word was received here of the death of John Aalfs at his home at Hawarden early Saturday morning, December 17, 1937.

Deceased was a well known farmer and stockman in Eagle Township. He was born in Germany and came here in 1880. In June 11, 1912 he married Cora M. Keith.

He is survived by his wife; a sister, Mrs. John Klein of Le Mars; a sister in Germany; another brother, August Aalfs of German, was killed in a run away accident two weeks ago.

Funeral services were held from the Associated Church at Hawarden Monday. The remains were laid to rest in Graceland Park Cemetery.
