Services held for Anna H. Dykstra

Anna H. Van Wechel Dykstra was born on her parents homestead August 18, 1887 and passed away on May 14, 1970 at the local hospital.

Services were held Monday at the First Reformed Church with Reverend Van Heukelom and Reverend Eissens officiating. Pallbearers were Donley Vander Wei, Martin Vander Maaten, Albert Heemstra, Louis J.Wielenga, C.E. Balkemaand, Frank Vander Wilt, Interment was in West Lawn Cemetery under the Van Etten Funeral Home.

In 1898 the family moved to Orange City where she made her home until the time of her death.

She was graduated from the Orange City Public School after which she taught in the Sioux County Schools for 10 years, retiring and took care of her mother until she was taken Home.

She was united in marriage to Cornelius Neal Dykstra who preceded her in death in 1954.

Her parents, a brother, 3 sisters, 5 half-brothers and 5 half-sisters also preceded her in death. She is survived by one stepson, Reverend Ellsworth Dykstra, a step-daughter, Mrs. Arend Hoff, four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
