Mrs. L. Pfeifer died Friday afternoon at the age of 74 years. As she was living alone and did not feel well and was taken to the home of J. Raman, where she passed away the next day. Deceased was born in the Netherlands, where she was united in marriage to L. Pfeifer, who was then a widower. In 1885 they came to this country and lived six years at Charles Mix, S.D., later at Prinsburg, Minn., and since 1891 in this town. Her husband died a few years ago. Deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J. Nieuwenhuis of Raymond, Minn., Mrs. J. Kreps of Kuner, Colo., a son Reinder Pfeifer at Renville, Minn., and two step sons, Klaas Pfeifer at Platte, S.D., and Jan Pfeifer at Raymond, Minn. They all came to attend the funeral which was held Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock at the house and at 1:30 p.m. in the Christian Reformed church.

[According to 1900 Federal Census records, there is a Hinke Pfeifer or Pheifer married to a Leendert Pheifer living in Holland township, Sioux County, Iowa, he is 81, she is 68. They have been married for 43 years. She had 7 children, three of whom are living. Both husband and wife were born in Holland and came to this country in 1885. In this Iowa GenWeb site there is an obituary for a J.L. Pheifer who died in 1914--probably her husband.]
