Funeral services for Mrs. William G. Vugteveen were held at 1 o'clock Monday, at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home and at 1:30 at the First Reformed Church with Reverend A. A. Dykstra officiating.

She was found dead in bed early Friday morning of a heart ailment.

Susie Post was born in Orange City January 19, 1887 and came to Rock Valley as a young woman. She died October 21, 1955.

Survivors include the widower, two sons, Walter of Rock Valley and Harold Lee, stationed with the Marine Corps at Jacksonville, North Carolina; a daughter, Mrs. William Hop of Milacca, Minnesota; two brothers, James Post of Chandler, Minnesota and Peter Post of Compton, California; three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Buma of Chino, California, Mrs. Case Noteboom of Modesto, California, and Mrs. Henry Vander Kamp of Hollandale, Minnesota, and 12 grandchildren. One son, Gerrit, was killed in Normandy in World War II.

Pall bearers were John Kooistra Sr., Ben Mulder, John C. Landhuis, Dick Ver Doom, Frank Jouwstra and Tony De Joode.

She was laid to rest in Valley View Cemetery.
