Funeral services were held at the Inwood Hall at 1:30 P.M. Monday, June 10, for Mrs. Fannie De Groot, 81, of Inwood, who died at the Canton-Inwood Hospital June 7. Burial was made in Richland Cemetery.

Mrs. De Groot was born in The Netherlands May 12, 1887, daughter of Engbert and Abie (De Leeuw) Veltkamp. She was married to Philip De Groot.

Survivors include a son, William, of Inwood, Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. Gerrit Kooiker, of Rock Rapids, Iowa; two brothers - Bert Feldkamp of Inwood, Iowa, and Teunis De Jong of Rock Valley, Iowa; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
