From the Rock Valley Register we learned that the 27 March there Mrs. Namcy Shimer in the age of almost 92 years dead. Her husband, who was married to her 70s, died two years ago. The family arrived in Iowa in 1862 and six of the nine children are now alive. For the last year her life, Mrs. Shrimer was with her daughter, Mrs. E. D. Wood.

They had Isaac, Jacob 1819, Elizabeth 1822, Sarah 1825, Jesse 1827, Nancy 1828, Clinton 1829, and Allen 1834.
