Mrs. Cornelius "Case" Venema

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 in the Christian Reformed Church for Mrs. Case Venema who passed away at her home northeast of town Thursday afternoon, April 19th after a lingering illness. Reverend Geerlings officiated at the funeral services. Interment was made in the cemetery west of town.

Mrs. Venema, nee Artie De Bruyn was born July 16, 1892, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius De Bruyn . In 1928 she was married to Charles Kuiper, who preceded her in death. No children were born to this union.

In 1938 she was united in marriage to Cornelius "Case" Venema.

Left to mourn her departure are her husband, one son, Pvt. Adrian Kuiper of Garden City, Kansas, Henry Venema of Grand Rapids, Michigan, John Venema of California, Richard, Alvin, Theresa and Nelvina at home, Mrs. Ray De Jong. Two brothers, Reverend C. De Bruyn of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Sam De Bruyn of Sheldon. Six sisters, Mrs. Siebersma and Mrs. A. Toering of Esterline, South Dakota, Mrs. Romkema of Edgerton, Minnesota, Mrs. Dick Vander Berg, Mrs. R. Van Kalsbeek and Misses Carrie and Nancy of Hospers.
