Marenus Verburg, a long time resident of Sioux County, passed away at his home in Orange City last Wednesday at his home in Orange City last Wednesday afternoon, April 23, 1930, at the age of 66 years.
Mr. Verburg was born August 5, 1863 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, but he came to Sioux County many years ago. Some years ago he was a candidate for sheriff.
He is the husband of Elizabeth Heemstra. His parents, Marinus and Jennie (Mulder) Verburg, immigrated to America June 7, 1847 to New York on the ship Kronprinz Van Hanover.
He is survived by his wife and five children.
