From the Alton Democrat, February 12, 1937:

A baby was born to Mr. and Mrs. John Den Hartog of Hospers on Tuesday, but the child was not living. The mother’s condition is reported satisfactory.

From the Sioux County Capital, February 18, 1937, Hospers news:

A still born baby was born to Mr. and Mrs. John Den Hartog Tuesday. Burial was in the cemetery west of Hospers.

The child does not appear in the Sioux County Cemetery Index, and no death certificate was found on Ancestry.com.
