Mrs. M. Schwebach Passes On Mrs. Magnus Schwebach, 39, passed away suddenly at her home Thursday evening at 7:00 o'clock following a two day illness with pneumonia. Martha James was born Feb. 11, 1922 in Missouri, and moved with her parents to Cheroke Co., Iowa, in 1938. On Jul y 3, 1945, she was married to Magnus Schwebach in Clinton, and came to Granville where they have since resided. Graveside services were held at St. Joseph Cemetery Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. N. J. Becker , officiating. Surviving are the husband and one daughter, Jeanette, 8 years old, two brothers and four sisters residing in Missouri , Pallbearers were Vincent Gergen, Tony Grady, Gerald McCarthy, Ray Konz of Granville, and two nephews, Donald and Joseph James of Larrabee, Iowa. Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen was in charge of arrangements. Body was at the home from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until service time.

1940 census lists Martha James as born abt 1922 MO, single daughter of Frank B. James 66 and Rose Katalin James 58, Martha was 18.
