John Sohuett, was born on March 8th, 1841, at Hanover, Germany, and died at the Cram hospital in Sheldon, on Tuesday, Nov. 24th, at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 15 days. Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon at 2:00 p. m. in the Lutheran church at Sheldon and interment was made in the Sheldon cemetery beside the grave of this wife who preceded him in death about 19 years ago. Deceased was a patient in the Cram hospital for the past three months and three days. Before his last illness he always enjoyed the best of health.
He Homesteaded on the farm four miles west of Boyden about 51 years ago, but has been a resident of Sheldon the past 20 years. The children who are left to mourn his death are Mrs. Maggie Hollander, Mrs. Kate Berger of Lake City,SD. Mrs. Lizzie Hollander; J. H. Schuett and H. D. Shuett of this community.
