HENRY VAN ROOYEN PASSES ON

Henry Van Rooyen of the Newkirk vicinity passed away in a Sioux City Hospital early Thursday morning, March 16, following stomach surgery there.

Funeral services were held at Newkirk Saturday afternoon with the Reverend Z. Roetman of Orange City and Reverend G. Docter of Hospers officiating.

Preceding in death are a son, Walter, 11, who died over 30 years ago and Mrs. Martha (Zorgdrager) Van Rooyen who passed on seven years ago.

Surviving are the children, Sylvester Van Rooyen of Sheldon, Walzy, Mrs. John Blom and Clarence Van Rooyen of Newkirk, who with his family and his father lived on the homestead there. There are seven grandchildren.
