From the Sioux County Capital, July 9, 1936:
Harry Faber, son of Frans Faber, died Wednesday morning in the Hull hospital after an illness of two months. He had been in the hospital nine days. Mr. Faber was fifty years old. Surviving him are his wife, six children, three brothers, two sisters and his father.
Funeral services will be held at Doon in the First Christian Reformed church with the Rev. Betten officiating. The date for the funeral had not been definitely decided Wednesday afternoon.

Harry Faber of Doon Died In Local Hospital, Wednes.
Harry Faber of Doon, who was admitted to the hospital June 26th, died Wednesday morning. Death was due to an embolism. Mr. Faber had shown considerable improvement from the first attack but had a recurrence Tuesday, which was very severe.

RESEARCH NOTES:
A brief obituary in de Volksvriend, July 16, 1936, says that he died of pleurisy and complications. No death certificate was located.
His FindaGrave.com page has Harry Faber, born 14 March 1886 in the Netherlands; died 8 July 1936 in Hull; buried in Hillside Cemetery, Doon, Lyon County, Iowa; spouse Gertrude Grifhorst Faber (1888-1962, married 1911). One child listed: William C. Faber (1916-1999).
The 1900 U.S. census for Hospers, Floyd Township, Sioux County, shows Harry Faber, age 14, born March 1886 in the Netherlands, immigrated in 1889, living with and working as a farm laborer for Gerrit Mueskens and family.
In 1910, age 24, he is living in Garfield Township, with and working for his parents, farmer Frank Faber (48, immigrated 1889, naturalized) and mother Kate (42, immigrated 1890, to whom his father had been married 6 years); siblings Will (22), Maggie (20), Wayne (19), and Nell (15); Terpstra step-siblings Rachel (17), John (14), Jelta (10), and Tillie (8); and half-siblings Bessie (5) and Peter (2).
In 1920 (age 33) he is living in Doon Township, Lyon County, on a rented farm, immigrated 1890, naturalized 1905; wife Gertrude (31), born in South Dakota; sons Francis (7), Bernard (4-10/12), William G. (3-1/12), and Delbert (1-10/12). In 1930, farming in Garfield Township, Lyon County, they have added two daughters, Esther and Marion (both 9).
The Wright County marriage register for 1910/1911 has groom Harry Faber, age 25, Garfield Township farmer, born in Friesland Province, Netherlands, parents Frans Faber and Ynsttje Ynalda; bride Gertie Grifhorst, age 23, resident of Belmond Township, born at Harrison, Douglas County, South Dakota, parents Ben Grifhorst and Maartje Tinklenburg; married in Norway Township, Wright County, February 22, 1911.
The 1925 Iowa state census gives his parents as Frank Faber and Inez Wynande.
His World War I draft registration form (Sept. 1918) shows him living on an RFD route outside of Alvord, Lyon County; physical description tall, medium build, blue eyes, brown hair.
