Lloyd Klein Passes On At Hospers
Albert Lloyd Klein, son of Mrs. B. J. Klein of Hospers, passed on Friday, October 30th, at the home of his mother in Hospers after an acute illness of some eight weeks. He was long in ill health due to a deficiency in the thyroid gland, a disease for which he had two operations. He was 24 years and 5 months old at the time of his passing.
Lloyd was born in Hospers May 22, 1912, and educated in the Hospers school, graduating from high school in 1929. The following year he went to Elgin, Ill., where he took a course in watch making and engraving. His illness developing at that time he went to Omaha for an operation and after recuperating opened a watch repair shop at Inwood. In December of last year he joined his brother, E. G. Klein, at Alton and started a repair shop in the latter’s drug store but was soon compelled to give this up and go to Omaha for a second operation. His health failed rapidly thereafter despite the loving care of his mother and family.
