DIES IN PRIME OF LIFE

Peter M. Van Peursem died last week Thursday noon at the local hospital at the age of thirty seven years. Funeral services were held from the home at twelve- thirty o’clock Monday noon and at two o’clock from First Reformed Church. Reverend Engelsman conducted the final services.

Deceased was born December 1, 1883, and grew up on the farm south of Orange City. On January 20, 1909, he was united in marriage to Miss Henrietta Mouw and four children were born to this union, all of whom survive the death of their father. His mother, Sebia (Brink) Van Peursem, died on March 30, 1892.

Besides his wife and children, deceased is survived by his father, Willem M. Van Peursen. He also leaves four sisters and three brothers: J.A. Van Peursem, A.J. Van Peursem and Mrs. B. Reinders, all of this place, Mrs. Gerrit Krover and Mrs. John De Groot of Alton and William and Adriana, who are at home.

The funeral was very largely attended, deceased being universally esteemed by all who knew him and who mourn his loss at the time when life should have been at its fullest.
