Relatives and friends were shocked to hear of the sudden death of Mrs. Alfred (Esther Marie) Van Peursem, age 23, immediately after giving birth to a little son in the Le Mars hospital.

Many from here attended the funeral at Maurice and she was buried at Sherman Township Cemetery.

Note: Her parents are Frans nd Maaike (Hiemstra) Popma.
