From the Alton Democrat, August 21, 1936:

Twin sons were born Friday, August 14th, to Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Homan of Alton, Harold Marcellus and Darrel Leonard. The second twin, Darrel, only survived until the following day and funeral services for the infant were held Sunday morning at eleven o’clock at St. Mary’s church. Mr. and Mrs. Homan have four other children.

His death certificate also gives his name as Darrel Leonard Homan; parents Chas. A. Homan and Paulina Mausel [i.e., Mousel], both born in Alton. Died at 10:30 p.m. August 15, 1936; cause, acute edema of lungs; contributory cause, prematurity.

He does not appear in the Sioux County Cemetery Index. His FindaGrave.com page has him as Darrell Leonard Homan; parents Charles August Homan (1896-1979) and Pauline Mousel Homan (1897-1988); siblings listed are Marcel John Homan (1922-1991), Donald Ferdinand Homan (1924-2006), Everett Joseph Homan (1926-1997), and Harold Marcellus Homan (1936-2008).
