Harry Eden, 59, who farmed in the Alcester community until 18 months ago when he and his wife retired to Hawarden, died Friday.
Services were conducted by Rev. O.F. Pittack Tuesday afternoon at the Alcester city auditorium. Interment was at Peace Lutheran church cemetery under the direction of the Nilson Funeral home.
Mr. Eden was born at Alcester September 2, 1900. In 1924 he married Marie Pein at Alcester.
Survivors include the widow; three sons, Eldon of Savannah, Ga., Loren of Alcester and Roger of Sioux City; three daughters, Mrs. Harold Rich and Mrs. Robert Warner, both of Hawarden, and Mrs. Delbert Hamilton of Sioux Falls; his mother, Mrs. Anna Eden of Alcester; four sisters, Mrs. George De Wall, Mrs. John De Wall and Miss Gertrude Eden, all of Alcester, and Mrs. Albert Lewison of Beresford, and 10 grandchildren.
