Mrs. Samuel E. Lehr, 67, 4101 Gordon Drive, died Sunday at the burn unit of a Phoenix, Ariz. hospital of injuries she suffered in an explosion in a travel trailer at Prescott, Ariz. on Nov. 8.

Mr Lehr died Friday of injuries he received in the same explosion, which apparently was caused by a gas leak. The couple was vacationing in Arizona.

Joint services for the couple have been set tentatively for 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. H.H. Schauland officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery will be under the direction of the Nelson-Berger Northside Funeral Home.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Lehr will be Raymond Johnson, Adolph Peters, Tom, John and Hans Clausen and Herb [Walter] Westergard.
Mrs. Lehr, the formaer Ada Jeanette VAnden Brink, was born on Dec. 8, 1906, at Maurice, Iowa and came to Sioux City 45 years ago. She was married to Mr. Lehr on March 28, 1931, in Sioux City. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Survivors of Mrs. Lehr include her son, Robert J. of Sioux City; a brother, George Vanden Brink of Towson, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Don (Mathilda) Smith of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and six grandchildren.

Joint services and burial for Samuel E. Lehr, 70, and his wife, the former Ada Jeanette Vanden Brink, 67, were held November 20 in Sioux City, Iowa, where they had lived the past 45 years. The couple died November 15 and 17 respectively in a Phoenix, Arizona hospital as the result of burns they suffered November 8 in an explosion in a travel trailer at Prescott, Arizona, where they were vacationing.

Lehr was born October 17, 1904 at Tripp, South Dakota. He had been employed as a commission man at Sioux City Stockyards. Ada Jeanette Lehr was born December 8, 1906 at Maurice, Iowa. The couple was married March 28, 1931 in Sioux City, Iowa.

The couple is survived by a son, Robert J., Sioux City, Iowa and six grandchildren. Lehr's survivors include three brothers, George, Rapid City, South Dakota; Ervin, Sioux City, Iowa and Henry, Scottsdale, Arizona; and a sister, Mrs. Earl (Ann) Layton, Sioux City, Iowa. Mrs. Lehr is also survived by a brother, George and a sister Matilda.
