Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mouw attended the funeral Monday of the late John J. Van Oort at Sheldon. Mr. Van Oort died very suddenly from a stroke at the age of 68 years.

Interment took place at the Orange City cemetery.

In 1889 she was married to Anna K. Gruy. They farmed near Orange City and in 1928 they moved to Sheldon.

Survivors include the widow; six children: Dreke, Mrs. John Koerselman; Minnie, Mrs. Gerrit Bomgaars, Simon Van Oort, John and Tony Van Oort, and Wein J. Van Oort.
