Funeral services were held February 11 at 1:30 P.M. at the First Reformed Church at Sheldon with the Reverend Harris Ver Kaik and Reverend J.J. Nasninga officiating for Mrs. Jacob Solsma, 86, of Sheldon. Burial was at Boyden Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.

Mrs. Solsma died February 7, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dick Smits in Worthington, Minnesota.

The former Anna Hibma was born July 14, 1882 in the Netherlands. She married Peter Van Maasdam. He died in 1919. She married Jacob Solsma on January 1960. He died in 1966.

Survivors are two daughters: Mrs. Dick Smits of Worthington, Minnesota and Mrs. James Brown of Atwater, Minnesota; two sons, Peter Van Maasmam of Westbrook, Minnesota and Cornelius Van Maasdam of Harris; two brothers, Nick of Worthington, Minnesota and Gerrit of Rock Valley; 18 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
