Mrs. Van Leeuwen Funeral Thursday

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the First Christian Reformed church for Mrs. Cornelius "Cornie" Van Leeuwen, who died Saturday evening at 9 o'clock at the Grossmann Hospital, where she had been hospitalized most of the time since undergoing surgery there three months ago.

Mrs. Van Leeuwen, nee Catherine "Trijntje" Vander Ziel; was born in 1906 at Maurice, the daughter of Burgert and Berendina (Pleiter) Vander Ziel.

She was married to Cornie Van Leeuwen 19 years ago and since then had lived at Orange City.

Surviving besides her husband and her parents, are seven brothers: Reverend Gt. Vander Ziel Canada; Henry of Omaha, Nebraska; George of Edgerton, and John of Holand, Minnesota; Steve of S.A. Texas; Paul of Lebanon, and Bernard of Orange City.

In charge of the services Thursday is Reverend J. Hulst and interment will be made in the local cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home.

Funeral services are being delayed to accommodate distant relatives who plan to attend.
